Close to Good and Dave Pomerantz play some Gerudo Valley from Zelda: Ocarina of time.  More like this to come…

Megaman.  The story of a bi-pedal being, adorn in royal blue metal garb.  Gaining the diverse, additional powers of the individuals that oppose him by swiftly learning their weaknesses and countering when an opportunity presents itself.  It’s not often surprising but it’s definitely interesting the things that you’ve been unconsciously applying to life at different stages that yield such humbling and various results at every stage.

Anyone that know’s me may see me as one that just “goes with the flow”.  The idea of covering Megaman III in it’s entirety was instantaneously a no brain YES decision.  Aside from Castlevania, the Megaman’s were by far my favorite.  Never all that great at video games, older brother set the bar very high, but my loyalty was always shown with the feet kicked up on the tv stand, something broken in the room after dying for the last time, and probably 3 or 4 empty surge cans on the window sill.  The good ole days…

Dave: Hardman was really fun to arrange and is extremely fun to play. In addition to having some of the most distinct melodies, chord progressions, and rhythms of the entire soundtrack, it has three distinct parts, which are very different yet transition into each other seamlessly.

Each time the song has one of these transitions, the rhythms change drastically, and the melody switches often between guitar and keyboards.

As we go through each of these songs on the soundtrack twice, Hardman was one where we wanted to do something differently the second time. The listener will notice a latin feel the first time through the third part of the song, and a heavy dance rock feel the second through. Hardman is one of my personal favorites on the sountrack…anytime I feel soft, I just listen to Hardman.
